How a Protected Deal Works
How a Protected Deal Works
A protected deal on TikAccs means your money is held by the platform while the account changes hands — it is not sent to the seller the moment you pay. This page explains the whole process in plain language, step by step, including what is not part of a deal today.
1. The buyer pays by card through checkout
You pay the listing price plus a buyer protection fee — 8% of the price, minimum $8.00, or 5%, minimum $5.00, for Premium buyers. The full total is shown before you pay, and all prices are in USD. Before you pay, read the Terms of Service and the Buyer Policy — at checkout you confirm you have read and agree to them. Payment is confirmed server-to-server with the payment provider before anything else happens.
2. The money is held in the platform ledger — not sent to the seller yet
Once your payment is confirmed, the money is held in TikAccs' platform ledger. The seller cannot touch it yet. It stays held until you confirm receipt (or the inspection window ends) and a further 7 days pass. If you open a dispute, the payout for that order is frozen while the dispute is decided. This hold is how the platform protects you — it is a ledger hold run by TikAccs, not a third-party escrow service, and we describe it as exactly that.
3. The buyer gives a delivery Gmail
You supply the Gmail address the TikTok account will be transferred to. The seller cannot start the transfer without it.
4. The seller completes the transfer evidence — and marks delivered within 48 hours of payment
Within 48 hours of your payment, the seller must:
- Get a fresh transfer code (valid for 30 minutes), put it in the TikTok bio, and pass the live bio re-check.
- Attest yes to all four steps: the email has been changed, recovery options have been removed, two-factor authentication has been handled, and the phone number has been changed.
- Upload a screenshot of the TikTok account settings showing the linked email as your Gmail.
Only after that evidence is approved can the seller mark the order delivered. Full steps are in the Transfer Guide. Passwords, one-time codes, and session cookies are never shared — transfer is an email change inside TikTok, and you reset your own TikTok password.
5. The buyer has 48 hours from delivery to inspect
Once the account is delivered, you have 48 hours to check it. Tick the three-item checklist — login works, the account matches the listing, and you have changed the password — then confirm receipt. If something is wrong, open a dispute within the window instead. See the Buyer Policy and the Dispute Policy.
6. If the buyer does nothing, the order auto-confirms — and the payout clock starts
If you neither confirm nor dispute within the 48-hour window, the order auto-confirms when the hourly job runs after the window ends. That means confirmation happens within about one hour after the 48-hour window expires — not exactly at hour 48. Either way, confirmation starts the seller's payout clock: the payout becomes available 7 days later.
7. Seller payout: 7 days after confirmation, $50 minimum, created by admin
The seller is paid 7 days after confirmation, provided the payout reaches the $50.00 minimum. Payouts are made by Wise (email) or USDT/crypto (wallet address and network), and are created by admin — sellers do not withdraw the money themselves, and a payout is never instant and never automatic to a bank. A payout is refused or blocked while any source order has an open dispute, an unconfirmed transfer, or an open in-window recovery report. See the Payout Policy.
8. What is NOT part of a deal today
Two things buyers sometimes expect are not currently offered, and we say so plainly:
- Guided or assisted transfer is not currently offered. There is no staff member who carries out the transfer for you. Every transfer today is self-service: the seller completes the evidence steps above, and the evidence checks run automatically.
- Seller-confirm-before-payment is not currently offered. There is no step where the seller confirms the deal before you pay. When you click Buy Now, you go straight to payment.
What protects you instead is the combination on this page: the ledger hold, the transfer evidence checks, the 48-hour inspection window, and the dispute path with its payout freeze.
9. What a protected deal does not guarantee
A protected deal protects your payment while the transfer happens. It does not guarantee how TikTok will treat the account in the future — its followers, reach, monetization, or standing. TikTok's own policies can change, and TikAccs is independent of TikTok and ByteDance. If the seller recovers the account after you confirm, report it within 7 days of confirmation through a dispute (see the Dispute Policy).
